Our signature crate is made from premium bentwood and comes in two finishes—signature and limited-edition walnut. The gate, which comes in metal or clear acrylic, may be secured in place or stored discreetly within the unit. The minimal design blends seamlessly into any home as a side table and balances generous airflow and light in a serene den-like environment for your pet to recover from adventuring.
To make sure your dog adapts well to their new crate, we recommend monitoring your pet closely during the first few days (particularly in the case of very young dogs).

Because this is a large furniture item, we cannot accept returns. Please be sure to measure the dimensions before purchasing.

Be advised that the Crate is not recommended for dogs with severe chewing tendencies or dogs with heads measuring within +/- 1 inch of the corresponding crate window size (listed below) to avoid choking risk.

This Limited Warranty covers any defects in material or workmanship under normal use during the Warranty Period. During the Warranty Period, Fable will replace, at no charge, products or parts of the Crate that prove defective because of improper material or workmanship, under normal use and maintenance.
The Warranty Period for the Crate purchased from Fable is one (1) year from the date of purchase. A replacement Crate or part assumes the remaining warranty of the original item or one year from the date of replacement, whichever is longer.
What does this limited warranty not cover?
This Limited Warranty does not cover any problem that is caused by: conditions, malfunctions or damage not resulting from defects in material or workmanship. What do you have to do?
To obtain warranty service, you must first contact us to determine the problem and the most appropriate solution for you. You can reach our support team via email at help@fablepets.com. Please include your order number and photos of the defect.
We are unable to accept crate returns as we have no way of receiving large/furniture return shipments. Please keep in mind our crates are handmade, so there may be minor imperfections or variations in the wood as with any piece of furniture. Before purchasing a Crate, it is important you ensure the Crate is a good fit for your dog’s size and behavior, as our Crate may not work for every dog. Please email us at help@fablepets.com if you have any questions about the Crate.
If your dog enjoys a cozy spot of its own to relax in, it’d be a great fit! If your dog is a bit more rambunctious, a known chewer, and/or fearful of being crated - it may not be the best option for them.
If your dog demonstrates serious chewing/destructive tendencies, particularly with furniture, our crate may not be the best option for you.
If your dog likes to see what’s going on and stay part of the action, we recommend the clear acrylic door. If your dog enjoys a bit of a cozier den and doesn’t mind a little me-time, we recommend the white gate.
No, it is not possible to change the door since it’s connected to the roof of the unit. If you’re having any issues with the door and/or crate assembly, please reach out to help@fablepets.com with photos and a description of the issue. We’re always happy to help!
It should only take you about 20 minutes or so to assemble the Crate. An allen wrench, screws, and instruction manual will be provided.
Yes, the Crate can be disassembled by reversing the assembly instructions.
No, we do not currently offer a training partition for the Crate.
A clean, damp cloth should be sufficient for regular cleaning. For more serious messes, animal-safe wood cleaning solutions will work the same way they would for furniture or floors.
Our Crates are handmade and one of a kind, and we are committed to paying our manufacturing partners fairly, utilizing high-quality/durable designs and materials, and investing in sustainable shipping practices. We continue to work with our production partners to adjust designs and processes in order to bring products to our customers at fair prices.
We generally suggest size XS/S for dogs weighing less than 25 lbs and size M for dogs weighing 25-50 lbs.
**However, every dog is different and we strongly recommend measuring out the crate dimensions below to determine if it feels like the right size for your dog. Please note that because it is a large furniture item, we do not accept returns for the Crate. **
The XS/S Crate is approximately 26" deep x 20" wide x 23" high on the exterior. The interior dimensions are 24.5" deep x 18" wide x 20.5" high. The interior door mechanism is approximately 1 inch, so when the door is closed, the interior dimensions are 24.5" deep x 18" wide x 19" high. Also, please note that because the product is handmade, dimensions may vary by ~1 inch.
The M Crate is approximately 34" deep x 24" wide x 25" high on the exterior. The interior dimensions are 32" deep x 22.5" wide x 23.5" high. The interior door mechanism is approximately 1 inch, so when the door is closed, the interior dimensions are 32" deep x 22.5" wide x 22" high. Also, please note that because the product is handmade, dimensions may vary by ~1 inch.
One of the benefits of our signature Crate is that it is much quieter than most metal crates. However, the latch makes some noise when opening and closing. If your dog is highly sensitive to sound, they might be startled when the latch is opened and closed.
No, crates can never be fully escape-proof, and if your dog is especially guileful, they may be able to sneak out. Because our crate is non-refundable, we advise not ordering if you think your dog may be a natural escape artist.
